Application

Preparation:
Surface must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease or other contamination. Existing paint should be lightly abraded to provide a mechanical key. Any loose flaking paint or friable surface should be removed back to sound material.
Timber substrates should be clean, dry and sanded before Colormet Ultra WB is applied direct.
Metal, plastic or mineral substrates must be primed with Colormet Adhesion Primer WB and should be prepared according to the relevant Data Sheet.

Application:
Mechanical stirring with a mixing paddle for a few minutes is recommended.
Colormet Ultra WB may be applied by brush, roller, conventional spray gun or airless spray.
Brush or roller – thin if necessary with up to 5% of water.
Conventional spray – thin with 10-15% of water, use 1.5-2mm nozzle and 2-3 bars pressure. Conventional spraying may result in a slightly lower gloss.
Airless spray – thin with 3% of water, use nozzle size 11-13 and 120 bars pressure.
