When sealing a crack or gap against escaping water, there's nothing so astoundingly effective as Aquaplug. Within just 3 minutes it's cured and the flow is permanently stopped!
- Stops leaks in only 3 minutes!!
- Primarily designed for use with concrete.
- Aquaplug will also adhere to brick and blockwork.
Sealing of basements, concrete pipes, sewage systems and foundations. Also used for creating corner fillets prior to tanking with Polycote Aquatex / Aquaguard.
Unit size: 10kg – makes 5.5 litres when mixed
Ensure contact surfaces are sound, clean and provide a good mechanical key.
Remove all loose material, plaster and paint.
Oily deposits should be treated with Polycote Degrease IT – see relevant data sheet.
Cracks should be cut back to a minimum of 20mm depth and width, undercutting if possible.
If concrete surfaces are dry, dampen with water immediately before application of Aquaplug to assist adhesion.
Do not mix more than can be applied in 2 minutes.
Mix approximately 4 parts powder by volume to 1 part water.
Consistency of the mix depends on application – semi-wet mix for damp cracks or fillets, put a stiffer mix in when placing against active water. The water content should be adjusted accordingly.
Mixing should be carried out using a gloved hand.
Place the mixed material in place IMMEDIATELY, pressing firmly into the crack or fillet using a fillet trowel.
When working against water pressure work toward the point of highest pressure and finish with a gloved hand, forcing the material against the pressure and holding there until set. Cut off excess material from face within 3 minutes.
Dampen repair surface after application.
