Details
Easi-Screed Primer is a single pack aqueous based co-polymer dispersion, designed to seal porous surfaces and promote adhesion of cementitious floor levelling compounds.
Use on: Concrete, sand/cement screeds, tamped concrete, plywood, hardboard and chipboard and other porous substrates. Can also be used on non-absorbent surfaces of epoxy membranes, terrazzo, quarry and ceramic tiles. Use where: Internal/External Typical industries: Commercial and industrial premises Type of job: For use prior to an application of an Easi-Screed product. Prevents unacceptably rapid drying times.
Special features: Offers excellent water-resistance and durability, prevents pin-holing of the applied topping caused by air release from unsealed absorbent substrates - Specifications

Application
Preparation:
Thorough substrate preparation is essential.
Recommended methods are:
Powerfloated concrete – use a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster to remove weak laitence and provide a surface key for the coating. If this is not possible, chemically etch with Polycote Etch IT then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Loose paint – remove, using a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster, Floor Grinder or equivalent method.Loose or friable concrete – use a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster. If this is not possible, chemically etch with Polycote Etch IT then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Oil or grease – use Hot Compressed Air for large areas of contamination. Smaller, isolated deposits may be chemically cleaned with Polycote Degrease IT, then rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry.
See relevant Data Sheet prior to application.
Mixing:
Shake well before use. For absorbent surfaces Easi-Screed Primer should be mixed 1 part Primer to 4 parts of clean cold water and stirred until thoroughly dispersed.
Application:
Easi-Screed Primer is best applied by roller.
For porous surfaces, a diluted coat followed by a neat coat of primer should be applied. For non-absorbent surfaces, apply Easi-Screed Primer neat.Apply evenly and do not allow to puddle in low spots. Easi-Screed Primer must be allowed to dry completely.
