Preparation:
Any surrounding areas that may be susceptible to the product (for example paintwork, plastics, or enamel) should be masked off with polythene sheeting. The paint to be removed must be dry.
Mixing:
Add activator Part ‘B’ to gel Part ‘A’ and mix thoroughly. If a smaller quantity is required, part-mixing may be achieved using a ratio of 10 parts by volume of Part ‘A’ to one of Part ‘B’.
Application:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Apply by brush or suitable airless spray equipment.
Do not use brushes with plastic bristles.
Apply the product generously, ensuring that the surface texture is completely filled.
As paint coatings vary in composition and thickness, precise guidance cannot be given regarding the contact time needed to dissolve the paint. It is advisable to test the product on a small area first.
Helpful Hint: Do not brush out too thinly as this will allow the volatile ingredients to evaporate before dissolving the graffiti.
Removal:
Once the graffiti is dissolved (between 2 minutes and one hour), and before the gel dries, the surface should be cleaned using a scraper or pressure washer. Cold water may be adequate, but hot water is much more effective.
IMPORTANT: The applied product should be kept as dry as possible until it is being removed by the action of the water jet. For this reason, always commence washing from the lowest point and work upwards. If necessary, repeat the application and removal process to remove stubborn residues. - Q&A
